I'm not sure that I can remember ever making a purchase with which we were so disappointed. We needed bar stools that could be exposed to water, and in that respect these stools meet the need. The problem with them is that we cannot make them stay together. They fit together somewhat as do "Tinker Toys" or "Lincoln Logs", by inserting the pieces into slots or holes. They fit together relatively easily, but as soon as they are put into use, the parts begin to slip apart. After a bit of use, we use a rubber mallet to straighten them up. That seems fine for a bit, but then we notice that the falling apart is beginning again. After a month of use, we now feel as if we were ripped off. We'd love to forget that we ever bought them. We'd give a rating of "1" star or none but have to admit that they do fill one need, the exposure to water. We searched extensively for bar stools that would take the water. This was all that we found. We'd suggest that you look even harder before selecting these.

my husband and i purchased the 4 stools and the side bar which works out great for around the pool. I don't have to worry about them getting wet from the rain this summer here in the ne, or from the pool water &the clorine. the side bar works great to eat at or near the grill for extra work space. the kids really like sitting at the "bar" and having a spot to sit of their own.
